Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located? Do you have a brick and mortar?
Gillian creates every piece in a home studio in East Sandwich, Massachusetts. While we have no physical location to find all pieces, our company website is the best place to find most of her creations. If you are in the Cape Cod area and would like to see pieces up close, please contact her at: support@gillianinspired.com. We are also found at many retail locations around the country.
How do I place an order?
There are two ways to place an order. You can either place an order through the secure website, or you can call if you prefer to phone in your order.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Our pieces are made to order. Items are shipped as soon as they are completed, usually within 3 business days. If you need something sooner or by a specific date, please send an email or call.
What should I do if I am not satisfied with my piece?
You are a valued customer! If you are not satisfied, for any reason, you may return your piece for a full refund within 7 days of receipt. If you return it after 7 days, we will gladly credit you for the full amount towards another item.
Is there a warranty for my jewelry?
A 90 day warranty is provided for all pieces. This covers any flaws, defects or damage. If you need to return your order within the warranty period, please send it along with a copy of the original invoice, or you can email us directly with the picture and comments. One note, it is important to ship your piece back in proper packaging. No repairs will be done on jewelry damaged in shipping back to us. Please use a padded envelope or box well packaged.
Do you do repairs?
We do everything possible to ensure that the piece you order is constructed flawlessly. However, please note that all beaded jewelry is constructed on a string of woven metal. If it gets caught on a door knob for example, or continually tugged on or "stressed," it may loosen and/or snap. Like any fragile jewelry, it is essential that you take proper care of your piece to limit the wear and tear. If it breaks or does come undone, please collect the material and contact us for address. If the warranty period has expired (90 days), then a $35.00/hr. repair fee applies. Please indicate how you would like to pay for the repair on a note that also briefly explains how the piece broke.
How should I care for my jewelry?
• Apply your make-up, perfume & hairspray prior to putting on your jewelry.
• Remove your jewelry before doing any household work or manual labor.
• Never wear pearl earrings or necklaces when getting hair colored.
• A good way to store your jewelry is in a tarnish-free jewelry box, or even zip lock bags. To avoid scratching/chipping, wrap pieces in cloth or tissue.
• Wear silver jewelry often, since wearing them can postpone tarnishing.
• We get the best result polishing plated jewelry by using baking soda. Using a non abrasive cloth or soft toothbrush, gently add a little water and baking soda and lightly apply to the tarnished area. An anti-tarnish cloth is best for sterling silver components/chains.

What is the difference between gold plated and gold filled?
Gold Plated is electroplating a thin layer of genuine fine gold applied to a base metal (brass or copper). Gold plating is a great way to own quality, modestly priced gold jewelry.
Gold Filled consists of 2-3 layers of solid gold (bonded or pressed) with other metals: brass, silver, or copper. These layers of solid gold can have different karatage (10K, 14K, 18K and 24K).
What is the difference between silver plated and sterling silver?
Silver Plated consists of layers of sterling silver over brass or copper. Our silver plated jewelry is specifically chosen to show as a duller, more authentically vintage look. It is a great way to own quality, modestly priced silver jewelry.
Sterling Silver is regarded as the purer form of silver as it has 92.5% pure silver, and a small percentage of another metal, usually copper. It is generally more shiny than silver plated jewelry and is said to not tarnish as easily.
Where are you located?
There is no single retail location from which to purchase all pieces. Retail locations will display various pieces.
Is all of your jewelry represented on your web site?
No. While this web site represents most pieces, it does not represent the entire collection nor does it include one of a kind pieces (seen in retail locations, home parties and shows.) Please check back frequently for updated pieces and designs. We love doing custom orders, and orders for bridal parties and other special events.
Will my piece be identical to the one shown on the website?
We take pride in our quality of work. Due to the nature of the beads, their uniqueness and availability, there may be slight differences in the piece you receive. Any change is as close to the picture displayed as possible. If, for any reason, you are unhappy with your order, we will be happy to replace it with something else or refund your money. Please just return your piece in the condition that it was received accompanied with the original invoice. Please do so within 14 days of receiving your jewelry. The buyer assumes all shipping charges for non-defective merchandise returns.
Do you do home parties?
Absolutely. Just email us for details: support@gillianinspired.com
SIZING QUESTIONS
What size options are there for your bracelets and necklaces?
The bracelets come in a standard length of 7 inches (approx.) and necklaces are 16 inches (approx.) with extensions. If you need a different length you may indicate this at the time of ordering. If you find that you chose an incorrect size at the time of ordering and need the piece redone, there will be a flat fee of $10.00 for that service. One of a kind pieces usually cannot be altered. Please return your piece with the original invoice within 14 days of receiving your jewelry. Depending on the season, please allow 7-10 days turnaround time plus applicable shipping time to receive your resized jewelry.
How should I measure my wrist/neck for the best fit?
Take a flexible piece of string and measure it to comfortably around your wrist/neck. Then add one inch to the measurement and it will give you your size. Adult bracelets come in a standard length of 7 1/4 inches and necklaces are roughly 16 inches, both accommodating a small to medium-sized woman.
